The story begins in Beneficio, a « rainbow » community, free, without leader, that settled in a valley one hour from Grenada in Spain.
This was more than 30 years ago. Nowadays, it is almost impossible to know how many people live there because of the flow of persons coming and going.
Some collectives of people live together but above all it is freedom that is sought in Beneficio, where the individual comes before the group, where the responsibility is self-managed and where there are no rules.
The birth of Amoraleza
In 2005, some families of Beneficio wished a more organized living environment in order to see their children grow. Thus, they become owner of lands in the mountains surrounding the valley of Beneficio. This is how Amoraleza was born, a magnificent ecovillage with several huts, yurts and other eco-constructions.
Several families could live there but currently there is only one family living in Amoraleza, it is the family of Veronika and Lorenzo with their children. They welcome volunteers to experience permaculture on their land.
