Family constellations and sociocracy at Skala Ecovillage in Greece
Skala Ecovillage is changing. Having been home to an eco-community for more than twenty years, this magnificent 7-acre site, situated an hour from Thessaloniki in Greece, is beginning a lecture series on permaculture, sociocracy and even family constellations.
A biological garden in accordance with the principles of natural agriculture, an instinctive approach to nutrition, plant-based medicines, sustainable architecture, dry toilets, solar energy…
A school of nature for city-dwellers
Skala Ecovillage is like a school of nature, teaching the little gestures that can minimise our carbon footprint as well as how to live a healthier lifestyle and to be in better shape.
Volunteers from around the globe have come here to be guided by Chryssa, 46, to experience a healthy way of life among nature and permaculture.
A lake has been constructed to create a microclimate and to encourage the abundance of natural biodiversity.
To aid communication between the members, mindfulness as well as artistic activities are organised.
Family constellations: a powerful therapeutic tool
Family constellations is a method of intergenerational therapy based on the family’s subconscious.
It is comprised of a group role-play activity, aided by a coordinator, and has the power to resolve internal and external conflicts. It is a method that Anna, therapist and co-founder of Skala Ecovillage, is currently studying to offer in the future.
Sociocracy: coming soon to the Skala Ecolovillage
Sociocracy is a form of non-hierarchical self-governance implemented through group-meetings, and which is becoming increasingly common in communities. It will be explained at Skala through a series of workshops. Watch this video to find out more:
